Welcome to an inspiring panel discussion on the potential of Swedish wool – from farm to the materials of the future. Meet four voices from different parts of the value chain who together aim to breathe new life into one of Sweden’s most underrated materials. Designer Stina Randestad, founder of the STINARAND design studio, joins the panel alongside Elin Dahl Sandrén (Responsibility Manager at Filippa K), Johanna Olofsson Behrman (Project Manager for Future Materials at Axfoundation), and Tomas Olsson (lamb producer from Norrby Gård) and moderated by Therese Maurin. The conversation is part of Space By: STHLMFW and takes its starting point in The Swedish Wool Initiative – a cross-industry project aiming to make use of all Swedish wool and create circular material flows.

STINARAND is known for her sculptural and experimental garments that blend artistic expression with sustainability. Randestad takes a material-driven approach, using rich textures that create optical illusions and highlight the body’s movement – often working with 100% Swedish wool. She was a semifinalist for the LVMH Prize in 2023, and her designs have been worn by artists such as Björk and Tierra Whack. Her iconic “hairy dress” was featured in Beyoncé’s *Black Is King*. Together, the panel explores how innovation, tradition, and collaboration can shape a more sustainable future for fashion.
